I appreciate her taking my genetics and family history into account with the genetic testing and the way she approaches my care. I love Dr. Rios! She is amazing and reminds me so much of my previous OBGYN. The only issue I have is wait time. I arrived at my 11:30 appt at 11:30 for my glucose test and sat in the lobby for over 30 minutes and not provided theShow more drink. I was then taken to an exam room and finally provided my drink at 12:10 and then had to wait another to give blood. This appointment was very long and could have been shortened if I was provided with the drink when I arrived. This is my 3rd kid and the previous pregnancies I was provided when I arrived so I wasn’t wasting an additional hour.
Ememobong Ubom, MD, is an experienced OBGYN with the team at the Center for Women's Health in Sugar Land, and Richmond, Texas. Dr. Ubom was born and raised in Calabar, Nigeria, and received a bachelor’s degree in radiography from the University of Calabar. Practicing radiography, Dr. Ubom didn’t feel like she was making the kind of impact on the lives of her patients that she wanted to, so she decided to redirect her career.
In 2007, Dr. Ubom moved to the United States to join her husband and decided to go to medical school. She completed her pre-medical studies and received another bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. She then attended the historical Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, where she received her medical degree. She recently completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology from Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. During her training, her research work received both departmental and network-wide awards for the best research project. She also received the Society for Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident Excellence Award.
Dr. Ubom is trained in obstetrics, gynecology, and minimally invasive surgery. She finds fulfillment in troubleshooting and solving complex medical issues alongside her patients. She loves to connect with her patients during office and hospital visits and is always happy to provide them with the highest level of care.
When she is not working, Dr. Ubom loves to spend time with her family, her husband, and her four children, as well as with friends. She also loves to make new friends, cook, read, garden, and shop.

I can’t find the right words to properly describe Dr.Ubom. She exceeds all expectations! Not only is she knowledgeable, but also approachable. Dr.ubom is a great doctor and cares and listens to what I have to say and takes her time to check on your baby and doesn’t just rush you out like most doctors I’m glad I found her in the beginning of my pregnancy.

Very professional and very nice doctor sweet I love her
I recently found out I’m pregnant after experiencing a miscarriage in the summer. We had our first ultrasound yesterday and my husband and I found out to our surprise were expecting TWINS! Not only were we surprised and ecstatic, Dr. Rios was also excited for us. She gave me a great big hug! Dr. Rios really cares about her patients through her bedside manner. She’s so kind and answers all your questions. I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Rios.
I’m so happy to have found Dr. Rios. I experienced a miscarriage during the summer, Rios and staff were comforting and helped us in every possible way to make that experience less painful when it came down to the medical/bill aspect. She continued to check on me via phone call. She’s caring and very personable.

Dr Rios is beyond amazing. I’m so happy to have had her as my physician for my first pregnancy. She is truly a blessing. Bedside manners are amazing and she just truly cares about the health of you and your baby.

Dr Rios is very caring and so human. Any time you go to a Dr, when do you see them pray for you or hug you when you going through something bad? Well, Dr Rios has shown me what other Dr's have never showed me. I thought I would only find a Dr like her on TV shows or soap operas, but I'm so blessed to have found her her in Rosenberg, Richmond, and Sugar Land. Another reason why I love her I can meet with her wherever it's convenient for me! Thank you Dr Rios!!
