Experienced, board-certified anesthesiologist Harshvardhan Chaobal, DO, is president and founder of Olena Medical in Fairview, New Jersey, which provides comprehensive anesthesia services to providers and patients in the State of New Jersey.
Dr. Chaobal is a highly skilled anesthesiologist with outstanding professionalism and ethics and an excellent bedside manner. He’s practiced in a wide variety of clinical settings, including academic and private hospitals, Level I trauma centers, ambulatory surgery centers, and office-based surgery clinics in urban and rural clinical environments.
Dr. Chaobal grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, and attended college in Texas, where he earned a chemical engineering degree. After working in the oil and gas refining industries, Dr. Chaobal embarked on his life-long dream of a career in medicine. He earned his medical degree from the AT Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Chaobal trained at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, where he was chief resident and chosen for the elite clinical scientist track. He then spent two years at Stanford University in Stanford, California, completing an anesthesiology fellowship and studying the management of perioperative services and health care business at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). He has participated in many professional conferences and lectures and won first place for his research presentation at the Western Anesthesia Residents’ Conference.
Dr. Chaobal was an assistant professor of New York City’s Mount Sinai Medical School for seven years before founding Olena Medical.
Dr. Chaobal’s long history of supportive participation in his community and the institutions he attends includes hospital volunteer work, training and evaluating paramedics, teaching concepts in entrepreneurship to elementary school students, and many other charitable endeavors.
Dr. Chaobal enjoys playing tennis, reading nonfiction, and exploring the great outdoors in his spare time.
