About Jan Zarefoss, NP

Jan A. Zarefoss, MSN, AAS-RN, BS, AGACNP-BC, an experienced clinician with more than 20 years of experience in primary care, internal medicine and geriatric services. Jan received her Associate in Applied Science from John Tyler Community College as Registered Nurse in 1993 and a Master of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2014. She is board certified as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1980. She is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners (VCNP) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Jan has worked in skilled nursing facilities, practiced in hospital medicine and was head of an office based primary care practice. She has also worked in Obesity Medicine, Endocrinology, and Hormone Replacement Therapy. She is passionate about providing the best clinical care to her patients.
