I feel that it was an OK visit as I want to have a DO for my primary doctor. I do Think, the doctor should have reviewed my history and been more familiar with my many years coming to Southwest family physicians so she could betteShow morer serve me. I only visit the doctor when I’m in medical need otherwise, I try to take good care of myself. I’m very pleased that you’ve have hired Another DO. Also, when the doctor bring somebody in the room they should be introduce so the patient knows who they are and what they’re doing there. Thank you for letting me give you my opinion.
Dr Russell is amazing and the best Dr that I have ever had! She listens to you and has your best interest at heart. She is very knowledgeable with rare cases and I finally feel like I am in good hands! I have had horrible experienShow moreces in the past with other doctors and I am so happy that I finally found someone that I can trust! I gladly drive an hour each way just to come see her.
Jo Gramarosso is a licensed and board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is also a board certified holistic nurse and a board certified health and wellness nurse coach. She has over 20 years of nursing experience in various settings including several major hospitals in New York City, outpatient settings and home care.
She completed her Master’s Degree in Nursing Science at the College of New Rochelle in 2009. She received a post-master’s certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Hunter College in 2020. She also has basic training in basic cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness, clinical meditation and imagery, EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), and trauma resiliency though her primary focus is medication management.
She is a member of the American Holistic Nurses’ Association and the American Psychiatric Nurses’ Association.
She specializes in stress management and has a passion for empowering individuals on their path to wellness.
It is her belief that therapeutic presence is not only conducive to healing and but is key when interacting with others.

Nancy is amazing!! She was super sweet, easy appointment, asked all the right questions. ♡
She was great, I got a cream for my pimples, none for itchy redness for my face. She said couldn’t give an antibiotic to clear out the redness due to my high lever enzyme. She asked if I’m taking anything to lower the liver enzyme, I said no, no one told me. She recommended Milk Thistle Tea, which I’ve never heard of. I got the Milk Thistle tea ordered. It was nice to know.
