Dr. Karen Quirk, MD?
Karen Quirk, MD, FACS, is a highly-skilled vascular and endovascular surgeon on the team of providers at Coastal Vascular Center in Oxnard, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, and Simi Valley, California. She’s one of the few female surgeons in the field of vascular surgery, which only has a 10% female population nationwide.
Dr. Quirk was born and raised in South Korea and immigrated to America as a young teen. She graduated on the dean’s honor list with a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of California in Berkeley. After graduating, she spent some time conducting basic scientific research on a therapeutic recombinant proteinase before going to medical school. Dr. Quirk earned her medical degree from the University of California Irvine School of Medicine, graduating with a variety of honors and research awards.
She went on to discover her love and passion for surgery and completed an internship and residency in general surgery at Harbor–University of California Los Angeles Medical Center. This passion bloomed during her vascular surgery fellowship at the University of California San Diego Medical Center and continues to drive her in practice today.
Dr. Quirk has a reputation for outstanding surgical skills and compassionate patient care. She’s a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Vascular Surgery and is one of the few surgeons in Southern California capable of using fenestrated stent-graft technology to perform minimally invasive complex aortic aneurysm repairs. She manages the full spectrum of vascular disease at Coastal Vascular Center.

Dr Quirk is so nice and has good bedside manner. She is smart and I trust her totally.
Ultrasound tech not very friendly, MA did inform me I was having an ultrasound done, however was just moved to a different room told to wait, when the tech came in I asked if ultrasound was on one leg or both legs, she replied with, did you just one one leg? I looked at her and said, just asking because I was never given information regarding the ultrasound, she then replied with”oh I’m sorry” wasn’t aware the doctor hadn’t seen you yet to explain or give more details. .
Dr. QUIRK is a very good doctor, and I would recommend Dr. QUIRK to anyone that ask me. She's the best.

Good with regard to meds they did not ask for my meds ,my blood thinner created bleeding . They quickly responded suggestion get patient med’s
Explained the CT findings to me. Did not give me an idea of the morbidity except that when the "dam bursts" it's all over of which who knows when it could happen. At this point, no further discussion regarding corrective surgery necessary or advised. Thank you for the facts.
I had a great experience with the office and doctor. They called me early and asked if I could come early which I did and got right in. Dr gave me much needed info and was very informative.
Everything went well and the leg is getting better every day. I would’ve appreciated it if I got a better explanation of expectations to possible outcomes. I had some pain in my leg, which I didn’t know if it was normal or unusual so a better explanation of possible outcomes would’ve been nice to avoid some of the concerns.
