Katie - np - was a delight. Thorough - informative - knowledgeable - considerate and respectful. Everyone - receptionist - nurses - all were professional but compassionate and caring - attentive and didn’t make u feel rushed. I had my first ever TelaMed call with Katie yesterday. She was so easy to talk to and listened to all my symptoms and concerns. She called in my medication and I am already feeling better today. Katherine Johnson, MSN, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at StatCare, providing complete pulmonology care to adults living in and around Knoxville, Oak Ridge, and Athens, Tennessee.
Katherine began her career pursuits at La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, earning her undergraduate degree in nursing. While there, Katherine was a member of the women’s swim team and the Gamma Gamma Sigma Service Sorority.
After graduation, Katherine enrolled at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, obtaining her Master of Science in family nursing. She also completed a student nurse externship in a cardiovascular unit. There, Katherine received hands-on training in monitoring patients, responding to emergencies, and taking vital signs.
Katherine began her nursing career in 2007. Since then, she’s served in various capacities, including staff nurse at a renal and urology transplant unit and staff nurse at a medical and surgical intensive care unit (ICU). Katherine takes a conservative and patient–centered approach to treatment, emphasizing healthy lifestyle changes and noninvasive measures.

Katie was super receptive to my mother’s needs. She was not scheduled for an appointment but she quickly worked her in when she realized the importance. She addressed her needs by familiarizing herself with her history with one of the group partners and then communicated next steps clearly.
