I visited the office as a new patient who has tried multiple dentists in Santa Barbara. Theresa who manages the scheduling is very kind and responds quickly. When I arrived, I waited outside and was greeted at the door about 5 minShow moreutes before my scheduled appointment. I was impressed with their COVID protocols (temperature taken before you enter, screening questions, masks, hand sanitizer, etc.). The exam with Dr. Miller was awesome - he took the time to understand my concerns and then spent a lot of time examining me and talking through any concerns that I had. He used an oral camera to take pictures and he explained everything I was seeing on the monitor - in language that was really easy to understand. He was very respectful to his staff throughout the visit. His assistant for the visit was friendly and did a great & fast job taking a full set of x-rays. The cleaning was very efficient and the dental hygienist did not judge me at all (haha, you know what I mean, right?) or criticize my brushing / flossing. She gave me some tips to help out and sent me on my way with fresh teeth. Overall, it was a great visit for someone who has some anxiety about dentists in general. The entire appointment (x-rays, exam, full cleaning) took about 90 minutes.
My back crown fell out on a Saturday morning. Dr. Millers team was able to squeeze me into their already busy schedule on the Monday morning after this happened. Dr. Miller chose an excellent dentist to fill in for him during hiShow mores absence. Dr. B. was very thorough in explaining my treatment options. She showed kindness, compassion, and empathy as well - which I am very grateful for. She also took the time to answer additional questions for me and provide additional information as well. Dr. Miller’s supportive staff was also very informative and efficient.
Dentistry in Paradise is located in Santa Barbara, CA. The practice has served the Santa Barbara and Goleta community since 1973. In 2008, Kevin T. Miller, DDS, joined the team at Dentistry in Paradise and worked alongside with the founder of Dentistry in Paradise, Dr. Laurence Basham, for 7 years as an associate and then partner. Dr. Miller is now the sole owner of the practice. At Dentistry in Paradise, the mission is to create optimal smiles and improve dental health in a relaxing environment.
Dr. Miller was raised in Goleta, CA and graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Magne Cum Laude. He then went on to graduate from UC San Francisco School of Dentistry, where he was honored as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Upon graduation, Dr. Miller completed a general practice dentistry residency in San Francisco at the Veterans Affairs Hospital. This residency allowed him to expand his knowledge and skill in many different areas of dentistry, including dental implants, cosmetic dental restoration, oral surgery, and dentures.
Dr. Miller currently serves as a member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. It is Dr. Miller’s goal for Dentistry in Paradise to provide his patients with the personalized dental care that they need and deserve.

Dr. Miller and staff strived to provide me with excellent patient care coupled with patient comfort throughout my visit involving a difficult crown replacement and additional patch to another tooth. Prior to my visit, front staff were extremely helpful in working with my dental insurance company to provide a pre-authorization as well.
Dr Miller always performs his skills with the highest of quality using the latest in technology. He demonstrates superb care for the patient and is gentle in his approach to the treatment. He is a great dentist.

I had quite a bit of dental work done this year and I always look forward to going to Dentistry in Paradise. The entire staff and especially Dr Miller are so "cool" and friendly. The office has a system where you can watch Netflix (probably others too) and wear headphones. This past visit I didn't want the appointment to end because I was enjoying a show so much. Imagine that!

great visit...good implant preparation...no pain, no after issues....starting exercising again the next day...GREAT It's always great to visit with Dr. Miller....even IF I blood pressures rises a bit .. AND OF COURSE it would be WONDERFUL if all this were cheaper!! It isn't cheap...but the service is great. I wish there were a way to make this more affordable...but I am NOT complaining...maybe just fishing for some suggestions THANKS!
Dr. Miller and his staff are wonderful. They are fast and efficient while still providing quality care with compassion. I have had extensive work done there, including extractions, and implants and have never had any pain. I would highly recommend them for dental care.
