Mrs. Heuer attended California State University, Fresno, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Health Administration. Throughout the nursing program, Mrs. Heuer remained dedicated to her studies, earning the distinction of graduating cum laude. In addition, Mrs. Heuer was a member of the Golden Key Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi, and Sigma Theta Tau.
After gaining experience working in several different hospital settings as a nurse, Mrs. Heuer decided to continue her education. She attended the University of Phoenix, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing in 2009.
