Dr Weiss is an amazing doctor. He was attentive and thorough in his care for my parents. His explanation of medications that needed to be taken and procedures that needed to be done to follow up was very helpful to my parents. Show moreI had placed a rating of 4 before but changed it to a 5… Dr Weiss and Nikki who helped us that day were excellent but there was a medical assistant that brought my parents in to weigh them and take their vital signs. If I was to rate her, I’d give her a 2. It seemed like she was in a hurry and impatient. Her tone in directing my dad down the hall as she may have thought he was going the wrong way was curt, she didn’t realize how old and weak my dad was and he just needed to lean against the wall while my mom had to step on the scale. My parents felt she was rough in taking the leads off of them after the EKG. My mom said to me “feels like she took my skin off.” She did not explain what she was doing. Her voice and demeanor was short and impatient (that was our perception…it may be her norm). I didn’t want to mention names as that is not my goal to publicly name her. But it would be such a bonus to have medical help that showed at least a slight hint of compassion and bedside mannerism that was helpful to those that are not at their best and need to visit the doctors office. I would absolutely recommend this office but wish my parents didn’t have the experience with the one particular assistant.

Mason H. Weiss, MD, FACC, is an interventional cardiologist serving patients at Apex Cardiology Consultants in the Inglewood area of Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Weiss received both his undergraduate and medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He then completed an internship at The Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal as well as medical residencies at both St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto and Toronto General Hospital. Afterward, Dr. Weiss completed a cardiology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
He has been an active member in medical societies such as the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, American College of Chest Physicians, and American College of Angiology, as well as the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.

Overall, I feel that I get great care from Dr. Weiss and his nurses, ECG tech, and phlebotomist (for blood draws). His nurses are usually accessible by phone when necessary. I'm rating 4 stars because the front office check-in person isn't very friendly. Only once has she greeted me with a "hello" and if she's busy, she just ignores me until she is done when she could easily say, "I'll be with you in just a moment".

I only had to wait about 5 minutes before taken to a room, staff was very friendly and efficient, very satisfied with Dr Weiss exam and test ordered to see what’s happening with my heart and blood flow. Dr Weiss ordered sever tests and took EKG. My last cardiologist only took EKGs and one blood test.
Dr. Weiss is a nice & caring doctor. The staff is nice as well. The office validate parking $3.00 off of $8.00.
Dr Weiss was very accommodating knowledgeable and pleasant. He made sure I understood the what and why he recommended the treatment we decided on. The rest of the staff also were great.
Dr Weiss is very patient courteous, he takes time to explain what is going on. Very efficient office staff. He is the best. Highly recommend him to anyone.

Professional care
I would be very happy to leave a review of my experience with Dr. Mason Weiss. He is a wonderful doctor. He has a very warm manner, soft spoken and kind. When making a diagnosis, Dr. Weiss never uses language that is too technical or overwhelming. He speaks only to be perfectly understood and confirms a level of understanding from me; his patient. He has been my doctor for many years and I rely and trust his expertise.

My Visit Was Okay Except For My wait time I had to go mention that I noticed a couple of patients was seen my the Doctor before me they came in after I was called and they apologized and told me I was right and the Doctor will see me next

Dr. Weiss is an extremely educated doctor. He has helped advise personal health, and medications for me for over 12 years. I definitely recommend Dr. Weiss to others, as he is easy to speak with, and has a great personality. I only wish I was able to connect to the office more easily.
