Melissa was born in Chicago, Illinois but raised in Arizona. She attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. After graduation, she went on to gain more experience working in various fields of medicine for 3 years before going to Physician Assistant school. She attended PA school at Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio and where she received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies and her national certification. Melissa has a passion for fitness, nutrition, and helping others better their health. She finds her happiness hiking in the mountains, surrounded by loved ones, and traveling.

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience here. I have gone here for years and never had an experience like this before. I went for a physical. She rushed through the appointment, only asked me questions that the computer made her answer. She never even asked me “how are you feeling?” Or “Do you have any concerns”. Anything I asked about was dismissed and we moved on to the next question on the computer. When I received my labs back I had to reach out and ask why important items weren’t even tested like iron, folate, vitamin D, B12 -when I had asked for the full make up of my bloodwork. They told me because those items aren’t normally tested on a physical. I have insurance and was willing to pay for whatever additional items weren’t covered. How would someone know what to test for if they don’t listen or even ask the patient questions. I tried to tell her about symptoms I was having- fatigue, light headed, high heart rate, and joint pains. It was all dismissed but instead was asked if I have smoke detectors in my house. I felt invisible, uncared for, and I was very upset when I left. When the appointment was over she just walked out and didn’t even say goodbye. I had to ask, do I go get my blood done now? They lady that took my blood was very nice though. She was new and very friendly. I don’t know what happened here but it’s not the same. It was a waste of my time and my insurance. I won’t be going back.

After finding out that my wife and I contracted the Covid Virus we reached out to our physician Dr Nunez at Grayhawk Medical for Advice. We then were directed to PA Clifford Guss who after Questioning us about our condition, prescribed us the medication needed to combat the Virus. PA Clifford Guss made us feel important and showed great concern for our wellbeing. Thank you
