Dr. Akira was very good. However, most of the staff was not handicap friendly & downright rude. Comments were made b/c I have no immunity & needed whoever worked with me to please wear a mask. I have to ask this at any medical appShow moret. or people around me in close contact. No other medical practice has acted in this way. This is what my Immunologist & Rheumatologist have told me I have to do. Just got out of the hospital in Memphis where I had to have a feeding tube bc I have life threatening autoimmune illnesses & am fighting for my life. Don't really appreciate comments made, huffs & rolling the eyes. For having several doctors in the practice it would only make sense to have more than 2 handicap spots. That would really help especially given your general clientele & some sort of way to open the heavy front doors. The people at the front desk were not busy & just watched me strive over & over to get the doors open & get inside. Also, the main assistant who took me to get the x-rays, etc was very rude. I can't help it if I'm using a walker right now or am unable to shift my feet different directions quickly. It's taken weeks of PT to be able to walk & I really didn't appreciate that. This is 2023. It's not acceptable to treat handicapped or compromised people/patients in this way. The visit was so much harder, stressful & hurtful than it needed to be & I don't want anybody else to experience what I did.On a positive note, an employee did offer to help me out to the car & get my walker up & into my vehicle when she saw I was really struggling & was very kind. Health care offices are just that. It's health & they are supposed to care - Have many Dr.'s etc in my family. Pretty much know the norm. So, I thank Dr. Akira for his good care & the lady who assisted him during the office visit. Otherwise, it was pretty unacceptable.
Dr. Acuiri came in my room explained exactly what he was going to do. outpatient surgery then he ask about any health issues he then rescheduled my surgery for one day later. Office visits have gone well except got another I got aShow morenother infection he changed his schedule and got me in right away. Now I don't about you but if a Doctor changes every around for you or explains everything he is going to do and and tells you he may have to do something else while in thereandntjen does it I think that is great. His staff always is there for any help you may need even with my GPS I am directionly challenged. The admitting staff talked me into the office. Now I had been there several times and still got lost. Lol she I can see you are you in a silver car yep I said she said we are right across the street I still couldn't see it take a right then a left into the office. When I got in we had a good laugh.

I came for a 3 month checkup. Dr Accuri is an excellent doctor but he is in a big hurry and my visit just seems rushed. He has helped me over the years and I appreciate it, but he came in and spent 4 minutes and he was gone.
My husband is Dr. Acuri's patient (amputation). He is healing well..no problems..and on the mend. We think Dr Acuri is one of the best! Always pleasant..to the point but never rushes you. Would recommend him to anyone! Also, my husband is impressed with the little wait time till you are taken back to room. Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Acuri and his practice!
