I highly recommend Tompkins Dental. I have had the best experience with Dr.Raminder Singh and his staff. The front desk staff is friendly, helpful, patient and kind in responding to my questions regarding insurance and anything elShow morese. The Technicians are also friendly, patient and very knowledgeable regarding treatment. They have been constantly aware of and concerned with my understanding of what they are doing and my overall comfort. Dr. Singh is also very skilled, knowledgeable and kind. I started a year ago at Tompkins Dental with just basic teeth cleanings and general care. Initially I had read some bad reviews for Tompkins Dental and I must admit I went to them with some trepidation. I have Dental Insurance through my husband work at Cornell, it is Emblem health and it is the worst dental coverage I have ever had in my 23 years of marriage and living in multiple states across the US with various forms of dental coverage. I moved to Ithaca area 6 years ago and have struggled to find competent dentists that I feel safe with in this area that will take my insurance and are considered In-network. It has been just short of a nightmare for me and my family. Finally giving Tompkins dental a chance was the best decision I could have made regarding my dental care. I just had a crown replacement. Dr.Singh is masterful at giving novacane. I felt almost no pinching and it was fast and effective. My new crown is comfortable and beautiful. You can’t tell it’s not my natural tooth. I only wish they were also a pediatric office. Then I wouldn’t have to travel to Endicott for my little kids dental care. Please forgive my emotional review. Tompkins Dental is wonderful!
Broken tooth pulled. Cracked because of cancer treatments. Dr. R. was efficient- he numbed me with Novocaine before I really had time to register there was a needle in his hand. The pull was a little traumatic as the tooth (firmlShow morey ensconced rear molar) continued to crack under pressure. Only thing I would recommend is taking time to talk with the patient about what to expect after a pull doesn’t go as planned. My gums needed to cut in order to free the tooth; and, once the Novocaine wore off, I was in agony - Well beyond Tylenol pain. Sending me off with gauze and fuzzy instructions are great… but 2 higher dose pain killers would have been even better. I spent half the night trying to find old pills from a previous surgery just to stop from crying. Overall, though, a solid dental practice. Would recommend for continued dental care.

I arrived for my appointment About half an hour early. I expected to have to wait in the waiting room for a half an hour. I was so surprised when after two minutes they came and got me and took me back to start my appointment.
All of the staff was friendly, kind and efficient. The dental hygienist was the best.

Everything ok, except the cloudy eclipse!
I found all the staff I interacted with to be welcoming, super friendly and polite. This was my first visit which was precipitated by the development of tooth abscess. Thus far I have been placed on an antibiotic and look forward to receiving treatment.
My teeth didn't hurt going in, and now they hurt worse. I've never had a problem with my teeth, really. She took my old fillings oit and replaced them for no reason, they weren't bothering me, now they are!! Unbelievable.

The staff at this dentist office is great..had an emergency with my teeth and they got me right in and everything is working out as planned. The rooms are very clean and everyone works around the equipment that is in there..Dr. Singh was very nice..talked to me about all my options..couldn’t have asked for a better experience at the dentist!
My apt was cancelled due to recent surgery before I was seen
I haven’t been to a dentist is a while, since I was in braces. I made an appointment out of the blue because I was in some pain. I had some sensitivity in a couple of my molars on the top. I’m so impressed with how friendly the staff was from reception, to imagining to the Dr. to the hygienist. I absolutely loved the Dr and the hygienist. The Dr, she went pretty fast with putting my fillings in! Super experienced and super nice! I was in zero pain during and after my procedure! I also asked a ton of questions and she took the time to explain it to me! So kind. I’ve already recommended the office to others!
They were able to get me in for a consultation as a new patient faster than expected. Everyone was pleasant and treated me with kindness and respect.
They did a good job with my teeth. How ever the texts and the phone call 2 days before and the day before your appointment is borderline harassment. If I’m not go to make my appointment I’d call them. No one wants to receive that many texts and call. The hen to have them say if I don’t answer there going to cancel my appointment. It’s just frustrating to me especially when going to the dentist for some cause anxiety as it is
It was wonderful. I am terrified of any dentist but this one was great. My hygienist was the best! She talked me through every step of the way for everything she was doing.

My experience was and is always a good experience. I appreciate how the doctor checks to make sure that you are comfortable and numb before proceeding. The dental techs talking soothes the nerves.
