Dr. Grewal’s has earned her medical degree from Government Medical College at Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar, Punjab, India, in 1994, and completed her residency in internal medicine at North Shore University Hospital, in Manhasset, New York. Realizing her passion for cancer treatment, Dr. Grewal went on to complete a fellowship in hematology and oncology at MedStar Georgetown University Medical Center in 2004 and Stem Cell transplant at NIH Betheasda. In addition to cancer, she also specializes in malignant and benign hematology and various coagulation disorders.
Since then, Dr. Grewal has become chairman of the Department of Medicine at Reston Hospital. She has also earned recognition as a Top Doctor by Northern Virginia Magazine and the Patient’s Choice Award for her work with two Virginia hospitals, Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg and Reston Hospital in Reston.

Dr. Grewal was very pleasant and accommodating. She was also very thorough! I would recommend her highly!!
I went to this practice for about 7 months while I was pregnant. The only thing good about this place is the nurse practitioners, which often quit. The front office person is unprofessional and the rooms are not ready for people as they come in. Often the rooms look as though someone else was just in them and they reset them right in front of you with little sanitation. They also do not respect appointment times and the person who sets them up is very rude and does not listen to anything you say. He actually called me about 2 hours early for an appointment and insisted I speak with the DR as I kept telling him I was unavailable and in the middle of teaching a class. I was about 5 months pregnant and this had happened a few times before. I had to step out of my class to get myself back together after arguing with him. it was totally disrespectful. I also felt very little information was given to me as to what and why they were doing. It was always hurried and until I insisted that they figure out why my B12 was so low continuously, they had no interest in doing anything but giving me the B12 shot each week and sending me on my way. Disrespectful and disregarding patients made my experience awful, plus dealing with this while pregnant was horrible.
Dr Grewal was compassionate, personable, and incredibly patient in listening to my concerns. Highly recommend her. The staff was respectful and courteous.
