I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of healthcare experience including the last 7 years as an advanced practice nurse working primarily in the psychiatric and addiction fields. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wyoming, a Master of Science in Nursing from Madonna University and a psychiatric post-master’s certificate from Saginaw Valley State University. My current national certifications include a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and Certified Addictions Registered Nurse- Advanced Practice (CARN-AP) through the Center for Nursing Education and Testing (CNET). I have taught in the nursing program at Grand Valley State University and have precept students from many different educational institutions including nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistant students.
