SHE LISTENED. I’ve been dealing with heavy cramps, heavy bleeding and passing clots for years; almost a decade to be exact. I was made to not sit down for my annual physical to finally get my referral. I’m 52, tubes been tied sincShow moree 1996 and just tired of 5-7days a month feeling like I did. My nightly ritual consisted of an adult diaper plus two size 5 overnight pads with wings to not soil my bed. During the day, an ultra tampon plus pad that had the changed every two hours or else I had an accident. I refused to leave home during that time of the month. I missed doctor appointments and forced to take leave if I had meetings at work. Just 5 minutes with Dr. Puffer and she asked me age and again asked if 1996 was the year my tubes were tied. She said she could help. Sent me to do an ultrasound to ensure no fibroids or other issues. I had my ultrasounds the weekend after my appointment with her and the next week, they were calling to set me up and appointment for the surgery. She’s my OB Gyn for life, God willing.
My experience today was good but I had to switch the previous doctor joy Carter due to the traumatic and negligent expirience I had. She kept ignoring me when I miscarried and her nurse kept assuring me every day for 2 weeks that Show moreshe kept giving her my paper from Ultrasound report of no fetal heartbeat. But she didn't want to perform my DNC. SO SHE PURPOSELY KEPT IGNORING ME. I LIVED FOR 2 WEEKS AS A WALKING TOMB CARRYING MY DEAD BABY BECAUSE SHE KEPT IGNORING ME. I EVENTUALLY HAD TO HAVE MY DNC BY ANOTHER DOCTOR. SHE WAS THE ONE WHO WAS DEALING WITH ME GETTING PREGNANT AND ADVISING ME TO DO IT SINCE I WAS GETTING OLDER. AFTER ALL THAT SHE REFUSED ME CARE WHEN I MISCARRIED. This was Dr Joy Carter not Puffer. No one has apologized or followed up with me or called me. They never escalated my issue or anything.
Sheri Puffer, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN with more than 11 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology. A warm, friendly physician who truly enjoys spending time with her patients, Dr. Puffer launched her career in private practice with Women’s Health Services in Arlington and Grand Prairie, Texas, to better connect with and treat her patients to the highest quality care possible.
A Canadian native, Dr. Puffer moved from Toronto to Texas in 1992. She later attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied biology. After graduation, she enrolled in medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Puffer grew to love women’s health care during her time in medical school, so it came as no surprise when she relocated to Dallas to complete her OB/GYN residency at Baylor University Medical Center after earning her medical doctorate.
As a supremely skilled physician and gynecological surgeon, Dr. Puffer treats and manages a broad range of women’s health conditions, including normal and high-risk pregnancies, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, uterine descensus, birth control, menstrual pain, and menopause. At her office, Dr. Puffer ensures that patients are provided with the most innovative treatments and therapies available, such as colposcopy, Novasure® Uterine Ablation, loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP), and hysteroscopy procedures.
In addition to her clinical passions, Dr. Puffer is an active member of the AMA, Texas Medical Association, and a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She and her husband, Ashton, have three wonderful children — two sons and one daughter. When she is not working with her patients, Dr. Puffer is a master baker at home.

I met Dr. Puffer and I really like how she talked to me like she cares for her patients. She recommended few things that I was not aware and glad I met her. Look forward to have her delivered my baby. For my first visit with her, I'm very satisfied how it went.
