I met Dr Ho for the first time a few minutes before my procedure. His friendliness was refreshing as we talked about how I could have got the problem. When he said he would “Try” to fix me and I told him I realize that’s all he cShow moreould do because he wasn’t GOD! It’s a wait and see time for me now.

Dr. Simon Ho is a compassionate and highly skilled pain management specialist proudly serving patients at the Centers for Pain Control and Vein Care in Northwest Indiana. Dr. Ho earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his Master of Science from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology. Dr. Ho completed his anesthesiology residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and his fellowship in chronic and interventional pain medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Ho is friendly and takes the time to listen to you. I was quite anxious and he calmed me down through the procedure.
Dr.Ho was very polite and efficient, my anesthesia experience was very painful
Rude, condescending and never asked for back story of what I’ve been through and diagnosed. This was the FIRST time meeting him. It wasn’t upset during appt about the medications being lowered, I was upset with his method of removing my medicine so quickly which is AGAINST CDC guidelines. Causing me unnecessary suffering with withdrawal at how quickly removing medicines. No matter what I asked or said, he was adamant on doing it his timeline. Even after telling him I’m the SOLE caregiver (lives with mom) for my mother who JUST had DOUBLE MASTECTOMY and now doing chemo. I have to drive her to Chicago for ask Dr appts and chemo while being rapidly taken off medications. He told me, “We aren’t talking about your mother, it’s about you.” “I don’t care about this.” What a dr. & totally concerned about speaking out and retribution like the other np did to me from another office which is why I went to different one. Kept telling me there are other Drs I can go to and I don’t have to stay there. That was repeated at least 4xs.

This was my first experience with Dr HO. My wife has received injections from him and has always been very pleased. I concur. He was gentle, quick while putting me at ease. He was also very personable. I normally receive my injections from Dr. Shabandar. They are both great. I highly recommend them both.

I was an a@@ and vented all my frustrations on the one person trying to help me. Through it all Vanessa was calm and polite and talked with me until I I regained my senses. Because of this I can’t comment on her physician’s skills but I can comment that she is a wonderful person and that is way more than half the equation. Vanessa, again I am sorry for my actions.
