Thomas Bills, MD, PhD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstructive surgery and general orthopaedics at Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics in Hamilton, and Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and Langhorne, Pennsylvania. He is one of the founders of MBO.
Dr. Bills grew up in Trenton, New Jersey. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Syracuse University in New York. He then moved to Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to complete a PhD in pharmacology and a Doctor of Medicine from Jefferson Medical College, now the Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia.
He received advanced training in pediatric orthopaedics at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia; Trauma at Robert Wood Johnson Trauma Center in New Jersey; Joint Replacement at the Hospital for Special Surgery; Osteoporosis at Cornell Medical School; and Bone Tumor at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, New York.
Dr. Bills is an active staff member of Capital Health Systems and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and an active attending staff at Lawrence Rehabilitation Center in Lawrenceville.
He is an associate staff member at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. He serves on the research staff as a visiting scientist at The Hospital for Special Surgery in the Department of Orthopaedic Research at Cornell Medical School in New York City, New York.

Appreciated the Dr but not his ignorant/nasty staff especially the one-I have a very bad back-made me stand for a longer period of time while she made a private phone call and I was waiting for a script. I have a standing appointment with Dr. Colarusso every month and his staff is excellent

Dr. Codjoe and staff including radiologist were very courteous and empathetic to my needs. Dr Codjoe explained my options for immediate relief and moving forward. Time spent in waiting room was minimal. I left appointment very satisfied.
Excellent bedside manner and he listen to your concerns
Dr. Bills asks specific questions about your pain, will take x-ray to analyze the issue and resolves it quickly...either with a cortisone shot in the area, or therapy to resolve the issue, or recommend a surgeon to discuss the problem. He is an excellent and kind Doctor, who listens to the patient and quickly helps the patient expertly.

Going to any medical facility is always nerve wracking. But Dr. Zak walks in, warmly greets you, and you know everything will be ok. At least that was my experience. I've fractured my foot twice and both times I felt he truly cared and took good care of my fractured foot. I hope I never have to see him again, but if I do, I know I'll be fine. Thank you Dr. Zak!!
