I have a particular interest in treating mood disorders, including treatment-resistant depression, depression with psychotic features, bipolar disorder, and depression in the elderly. At McLean Neuropsychiatric Treatment Center, I offer neuromodulation treatments, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), esketamine (Spravato), and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), for treatment of depression and other psychiatric conditions. I completed my medical school and psychiatry residency at the University of Michigan, followed by a geriatric psychiatry fellowship at UCLA. I was previously the director of neuromodulation at the Philadelphia VA and an inpatient psychiatrist at the Palo Alto VA, as well as a clinical assistant professor at Stanford University.

“Dr. Amanjot Kaur was recommended to me by an RN that used to work together with Dr. Kaur, and I can likewise recommend her to you. I liked that Dr. Kaur was open to meeting in-person (I switched to virtual after the first visit). Like me she felt that the in-person connection is important. She also wanted to "hear my story" in the initial assessment which lasted a full hour. So, any decisions to change (or in my case, not change) my medication regimen were made following this conversation.”
