Dr. Ron Lopez is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as certified as a Diplomat in the sub-specialty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He completed his training in adult and child Psychiatry at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami and has been in private practice in the Pinellas County area for more than 24 years. Dr Lopez played a vital role in the Public Mental Health System of our community by heading the Child and adolescent “Crisis” unit at PEMHS, receiving and treating facility of Children suffering from a mental or substance abuse crisis.

Mark Sylvester, MD, was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida. He is board certified in Psychiatry & Neurology and completed his fellowship in Integrative Psychiatry. In addition to caring for his patients with Alternative Psychiatry, where he practices Functional Psychiatry and Integrative Health, he also currently serves as medical director of Centerpointe Counseling and Recovery, Sarasota Addiction Specialists, and the Suncoast Harm Reduction Project aimed at reducing opioid related overdose deaths. He also founded Mind Body Medicine of Florida, a comprehensive and integrative health practice. He has previously worked inpatient at the Serenity Place of Doctor’s Hospital in Sarasota as well as an adjunct faculty member at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) where he lectured and clinically trained medical students. He is active in research and is published in the Journal of Biomechanics, Journal of Global Drug Policy, and American Journal of Psychiatry.
