Dr. Jameca Woody-Cooper is an accomplished Counseling psychologist, educator, entrepreneur, author and civic leader. Dr. Woody-Falconer holds a Ph.D. in Educational and Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri Columbia and is the recipient of a Fulbright Award/Fellowship in Global Health.
For over 35 years I have been committed to providing hope and healing to people of all ages. Folks come to therapy for a variety of reasons but generally are hoping to develop a relationship in which they can show up and talk about what really matters to them. Within the context of this respectful, safe, and confidential relationship I will help you to examine how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interacting to keep you stuck.
As a committed Christian and trauma-informed psychotherapist I will use an eclectic body of knowledge and skills to help you learn to live more comfortably and to like and respect yourself more. Trained in EMDR and Cognitive as well as Mindfulness-based therapies, I will offer you new ways to cope and overcome problems. If requested, I will bridge traditional psychotherapy with spiritual awareness and growth. Common presenting problems include depression, anxiety, acute and chronic trauma, relationship issues, and navigating life’s stressors.
