Anna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board-approved supervisor with a Master’s in Social Work from The Catholic University of America. With over 25 years in mental and behavioral health, she has worked with youth, adults, and families, including at-risk youth, using team-based, wraparound approaches, and supporting those involved in child welfare. Her eclectic, strengths-based, person-centered approach helps clients explore their stories and how they connect to emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Sophie has experience working with adults and youth experiencing a range of presenting problems such as anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, trauma and PTSD, low self-esteem, and relationship issues. She is passionate about helping individuals gain insight into themselves, validate their own emotions and needs, and strive to be the best version of themselves. Sophie utilizes CBT, emotion-focused approaches, trauma-informed approaches, mindfulness and acceptance-based practices, and motivational techniques. She values building a safe, nonjudgmental, and open therapeutic relationship and finds it particularly important to learn about relevant aspects of clients’ identities and backgrounds that may inform their treatment. Sophie also has training in Gottman Method couples therapy and has experience helping couples to resolve conflict, communicate openly, and deepen their connection.

In addition to his clinical experience, Daniel provided workshops on various topics, including happiness, productivity, relationship skills, and trauma.
His primary approach is CBT and other techniques, such as motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, systems, and existential modalities. Daniel allows the nature of his clients’ personalities and challenges to dictate which particular modality best suits them. Michelle is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. She has been part of Balance Point Wellness, as an intern, for over a year. Michelle started her journey as a Healthcare Leadership Coach, receiving her Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University certification.

Nia is a native Baltimorean, and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Morgan State University in 2010, and returned to her Alma Mater to receive her Masters of Social Work.
