Dr. Shalot graduated from Long Island's distinguished Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a Minor in Chemistry. He obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from The New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. 

During his time in podiatry school, Dr. Shalot served as president of the Student Chapter of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and as president of the NYCPM Student Organization. He completed a three-year Foot and Ankle Surgery residency program at the prestigious Montefiore Medical Center, affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. He graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and continued his education at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, where he obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM).

Steven Schulberg, DO, is a board-certified surgeon who is part of the team at Progressive Surgical Care which has New York offices in Forest Hills, New Hyde Park, Long Island, and Howard Beach, Queens. He specializes in minimally invasive general and colorectal surgery.

Dr. Schulberg was born and raised in New York. He attended Binghamton University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He then attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 2016.

He went on to complete his general surgery residency at NYU Langone Health – Brooklyn, where he graduated as chief resident. Following residency, Dr. Schulberg completed a fellowship in minimally invasive colon and rectal surgery at the University of Texas Houston, McGovern Medical School, one of the highest volume robotic colorectal surgery programs in the nation.
