Enrico Ascher, MD, is a board-certified vascular and endovascular surgeon with more than 45 years of experience in his field. As the founder and director of the Vascular Institute of New York, Dr. Ascher provides individualized, comprehensive vascular care to patients throughout Brooklyn and its surrounding neighborhoods in New York City, at the practice’s convenient location in Borough Park. In addition to his time at the Vascular Institute of New York, Dr. Ascher is Chief of Vascular Surgery at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn.
A native of Brazil, Dr. Ascher earned his Medical Doctorate from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1974 before completing his surgical residency at the National Institute of Health in the same city. He later completed an additional surgical residency and internship at New York Medical College in New York City, earning the coveted title of chief resident during his final year.
As an experienced vascular surgeon, Dr. Ascher diagnoses and treats a number of vascular conditions, including chronic venous insufficiency, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), venous leg ulcers, diabetic vascular disease, pulmonary embolism, and hypertension. He is a frequent lecturer to professional societies and medical school faculties throughout the world, dedicated to uniting and expanding the specialty of vascular surgery.
Dr. Ascher is currently President-Elect of the Association of Chairs in Vascular Surgery, an active member of the International Relations Committee, the World Federation of Vascular Surgeons, the American Surgical Association, Co-Chairman of the VEITHsymposium™, and the founder of the Pan American Congress on Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.
With a broad range of vascular surgery experience, Dr. Ascher has contributed more than 250 articles to leading vascular surgery medical journals and is the author of over 65 textbook chapters.

Natalie Marks, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon who serves the community of Borough Park in Brooklyn, New York, at the Vascular Institute of New York. With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Marks is passionate about using the latest advancements in medical technology to diagnose and treat a wide range of vascular conditions, including hypertension, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), venous leg ulcers, and diabetic vascular disease.
Growing up in Ukraine, Dr. Marks earned her Medical Doctorate from Crimea State Medical University in Simferopol, Ukraine. She later moved to the United States to complete her internal medicine residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn.
Dr. Marks is certified by both the American Board of Vascular Medicine and Internal Medicine. She also holds certifications from the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy and in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) for vascular technology.
In addition to her time at the Vascular Institute of New York, Dr. Marks is an attending physician at Brooklyn’s Maimonides Medical Center, New York Community Hospital, and NYU Langone Brooklyn Medical Center. She also belongs to a number of professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians and the American Society for Vascular Medicine.

Dr. Faith A. Menken is a surgeon serving patients in the Upper East Side neighborhood of New York. She provides surgical treatment for a variety of different conditions in her practice, including:

She also offers wound care, excision of skin lesions, and lymph node biopsy or excision.
Dr. Menken received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University. After graduating from medical school, she completed an internship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Cornell Campus. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and she has been practicing medicine for more than 20 years.
