Elizabeth Alexandra Zubowicz, MD, FACS, FASMBS is a board-certified general surgeon. She specializes in bariatric surgery and hernia surgery. She performs both open as well as minimally invasive surgery, with a focus on robotic surgery and its advancement in the realm of general surgery. She has performed over 1000 bariatric procedures and has a passion for helping patients get healthier.

She completed her residency at the Georgetown-Medstar General Surgery Residency Program in Washington, DC. She has presented at numerous regional and national conferences and has been published in multiple peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Zubowicz is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. She has an interest in medical mission work and has been on several medical mission trips, in both Ecuador and in the Philippines. Her husband is active duty with the United States Army, and they have two daughters Gabrielle and Sophia.

A Texas native, he completed his undergraduate studies in Music Composition at Baylor University and obtained a Master's degree in Music Composition from the University of North Texas.
Dr. Rivera then received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas and stayed on as a general surgery intern. His surgical residency was completed at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center at Nashville, where he gained experience in general and vascular surgery.
Subsequently, he completed a vascular surgery fellowship at Ochsner Health in New Orleans, Louisiana. There Dr. Rivera gained considerable experience in treating patients with end-stage renal disease, peripheral vascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, and complex aneurysm disease with both open and endovascular techniques.
Dr. Rivera has performed research in outcomes of cerebrovascular interventions using machine learning, and has won the SAVS Founders Award in 2022.
