Dr. Aisling Rubas is a Doctor of Audiology who provides hearing and balance testing as well as and hearing aid consultations in our office. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Utah and completed her Doctorate in Audiology at the University of Connecticut. She holds licensure in New York State as an Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is board certified by the American Board of Audiology.
Karine Rocha de Benedicto, M.S., C.C.C. is our supervising speech therapist. Karine joined our team in 2021 and has helped a number of people earn their certificate of clinical competence in speech and language pathology. Karine provides speech therapy services to patients of all ages and diagnoses and is licensed in Connecticut, California and Florida.
A graduate of Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, Karine’s passions include aphasia, dysarthria, and cognitive communication disorders. Passionate about making an impact in the lives of her patients, Karine strives to provide them with person centered quality care that empowers, enhances, and supports development, preservation and rehabilitation of communication cognition and social and emotional skills. Karine does an amazing job of meeting people where they are and helping them achieve their individual goals.
Karine leads our social skills groups and vocational training programs and has led voice and cognitive groups as well.
In her free time she enjoys reading, photography, walks in the woods and spending time with family!
Yamela works with clients across the lifespan. She has extensive experience in school settings, supporting students in developing strong communication skills, improving speech and language abilities, and building confidence in the classroom and beyond. Yamela combines evidence-based strategies with a personalized, playful approach, creating therapy experiences that are both effective and enjoyable. She partners closely with families, teachers, and school teams to support ongoing growth and wellness, empowering children to reach their full potential at home, school, and in the community.

Joan has extensive experience working with individuals with autism, apraxia, sensory and regulatory challenges, developmental delays, and complex communication needs. She blends evidence - based methods with a compassionate, indivdulaized approach that helps clients progress from early gestalt stategies to self-generated, meaningful language. Her work is grounded in respect, connection and truly understanding how each client communicates.

Her therapy style is flexible and creative, blending structure with innovation to meet each client’s unique needs.

Meet Dr. Ianthe Dunn-Murad, a seasoned Audiologist with more than 25 years of clinical experience. Fluent in both English and Spanish, and originally from Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Dunn-Murad brings a unique perspective and skill set to her practice, enabling her to reach and serve diverse communities effectively.
With a distinguished career spanning hospital, clinic, and university settings, her passion lies in empowering individuals through better hearing. Her clinical expertise is evident in her meticulous approach to diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, ensuring that each individual receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs.
Dr. Dunn-Murad's educational foundation began at St. John's University in Queens, NY. In 2002 she graduated at the top of her class from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ, it was there that she honed her expertise in audiology and hearing healthcare. Armed with a deep understanding of the field and a passion for making a difference, she embarked on a career that would see her touch countless lives.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Dunn-Murad is an advocate for humanitarian hearing healthcare, locally and globally. Contributing her professional services to local communities in the Long Island and Queens areas and to over 20 countries. She firmly believes that access to quality hearing healthcare is a fundamental right and has dedicated herself to initiatives aimed at improving access to care in underserved and underrepresented local communities and around the world.
Her impact extends beyond her clinical practice and advocacy efforts. As an educator, she has mentored and inspired the next generation of audiologists, instilling in them the same passion and dedication that drives her work.
