Chuck Lee is a California State Certified Massage Therapist (CAMTC) who graduated with a terminal degree in massage therapy. At Numo Acupuncture clinic, he offers a unique approach to bodywork by combining his background of Qi Gong - an ancient energy practice rooted in Chinese Medicine - in tandem with his formal education which emphasizes an up-to-date, research-based view of massage therapy. His intuitive massage techniques work together with the body’s nervous system; he discourages mashing and bullying muscle tissues. During the session he frequently gives instructions on mindfulness and breathing, so that you feel a sense of cooperative effort in reaching a level of effective and precise results massage therapy should actually provide.
He has successfully worked on a variety of physical challenges such as carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic headaches, ankle and knee injuries, neck pain, and chronic lower back pain. He specializes in improving poor desk posture and chronically tight keyboard fingers, wrists and forearms. Chuck has also brought palpable results in the recovery and performance of athletes who train in the world of Crossfit, calisthenics and boxing. Though well versed in his practice, Chuck values preventative measures and self-care as much as external treatment and manual therapy. He can be found regularly practicing Qi Gong, enjoying hip-hop music, and finding new ways to incorporate avocados in his breakfast.
