As a therapist, he has worked with clients in schools, communities, and office settings for over a decade. He enjoys working with children with ADHD and ODD and with children who have experienced physical and sexual abuse. He also works with adults who are dealing with substance misuse, mood disorders such as Depression, Bipolar Disorder, personality problems, and adults with dual diagnoses and behavioral problems. Throughout his educational career, Drew worked full time in hospital, community, and school mental health settings with children and adults. Drew’s calm demeanor, compassion, and sense of humor provides a comfortable atmosphere for clients. He empathizes with the patient to ensure they feel welcomed and can leave each session with a sense of accomplishment. He finds it a privilege to listen to their story/narrative. Drew grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he gained a passion for his beloved sports teams. Drew is a diehard Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates fan and is usually wearing black and gold when he’s not in the office. He enjoys competition, and a myriad of sports, like hockey, golfing, fishing, and softball.

Angela has worked as a school counselor for 20 years and has 20 years of mental health experience. In working in the mental health field and the school system she has worked with a wide variety of issues and people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Angela believes that everyone has times in their life when their struggles can become overwhelming. Life can hand us a great deal of ups and downs. The aspect Kristie loves most about conducting sessions is connecting with an individual and understanding their unique view of the world. Kristie views her approach to therapy as providing genuine support by seeing the person first and then the issue. Leading with empathy and understanding, she wants to collaborate with her clients to problem solve issues and come up with solutions that can be used in many different environments. Kristie specializes in CBT, mindfulness, grounding and communication skill building . With these techniques as the core her clinical style is best described as direct, empowering, warm and open-minded. Kristie is very experienced in working with people who suffer from anxiety, depression, ADHD, ODD. Not only will she help her clients discover their unique coping skills but she will teach them how to use them.
Biancas uses a variety of approaches when working with clients including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused, and Person Centered. She has a passion for working with children that have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Delays. In addition, she works with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, and trauma. Her experience in the Early Intervention field motivated her to move into the mental health field and work specifically with children and their families. Outside of work, she enjoys travel, theatre, concerts, reading, exercise, and spending time with loved ones. She is very excited at the opportunity to work with Perkins Counseling and grow even more as a therapist.
Jalyn is an associate licensed social worker at Perkins Counseling and Psychological Services. Jalyn focuses on individuals strengths and goals. She applies integrated therapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. Jalyn enjoys counseling as a team, to build therapeutic relationships with adolescents and young adults. She provides a warm and welcoming environment to execute empathy and compassion. Jalyn out side of the office enjoys working out, spending time with family, and watching funny/dancing tiktoks.
Amy worked at an inpatient psychiatric hospital responsible for intake and group therapy. There she worked predominantly with children, adolescents and families treating depression, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, self-harm, eating disorders, OCD, and other behavior/relational issues. Amy also has experience working with adolescents with a history of sexual trauma and abuse. Amy is certified SYMBIS and Gottman Method (level 1) facilitator; she has experience working with premarital and marital couples.

Adrian Miller received both his BA in English and Master’s in Education degrees from the University of Florida and spent some years working in public schools. During his tenure as a high school English instructor, he realized he wanted to be able to help adolescents outside the walls of a classroom. He then completed his Master's in Psychology with a Clinical Concentration, from North Carolina Central University. Adrian has experience working with children with Autism through The Carolina Center for ABA and Autism and conducts psycho-educational testing, clinical assessments, and psychological evaluations. He enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures and his professional interests include individual counseling with adolescents and adults, helping clients navigate and reflect on issues to help them make positive changes that will improve their overall functioning and well-being.
Stacey Dyjewski is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who works with both adults and adolescents working through issues including: depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, parenting and marital stressors, and self-esteem. She has cared for clients at both inpatient and outpatient levels as well as led a support group ministry for a local church while in Michigan.
Stacey is dedicated to helping others reach their full potential, believing that positive change is possible for everyone, regardless of the situation clients are currently in, or the family environment in which her clients were raised.
Stacey was raised and lived in Michigan her entire life until moving to North Carolina in 2016 to be in the beautiful weather and to be near family that also relocated to NC. Stacey is married with two teenage children and enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, serving at church, and exploring North Carolina!
Luke is currently pursuing his Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He hopes to work with young adults, couples, families, those with mood disorders and those who have experienced trauma.
Luke is looking forward to getting more experience in the field and learning and growing alongside his clients during his internship.
