After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, he continued his studies in a General Practice Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital. While there he was awarded merits for excellence in oral surgery and as the most productive resident. After residency Dr. Tram returned to his SoCal roots and practiced for a number of years in Newport Beach. Eventually the ocean air grew thin as Dr. Tram longed to return home to the Inland Empire.
