Once she graduated from medical school, Dr. Besser spent five years providing dental care to U.S. troops both abroad and at home while serving as an honorary U.S. Air Force Officer. 

After her time in the military, Dr. Besser practiced as a general dentist with a passion for the field of endodontics. Dr. Dana Samet trained at Lunds University in Sweden. In 1997, after graduating, she began practicing dentistry there. She went on to pass her dental board examination in the United States at the University of San Francisco. Dr. Samet began practicing dentistry in California in 2002.
