Sophie is a licensed medical aesthetician who is passionate about making her clients feel confident in their own skin. Sophie has trained under Dr. Elizabeth Grieshaber and Dr. Delahoussaye-Shields since the completion of her aesthetician certification. Dr. Elizabeth Grieshaber is a native of the New Orleans area and is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Her overall mission is to treat the whole person, helping them look good and feel good from the inside out. She attended Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed her residency at LSU. She practiced dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic prior to the establishment of Sanctuary Dermatology. She is an associate faculty member at LSU and enjoys teaching the residents on the days she is not at the clinic.
Dr. Grieshaber is a master GAIN (Galderma Aesthetic Injector Network) trainer and injector specializing in the training of physicians on how to administer injectables including Dysport, Restylane portfolio of dermal fillers, and Sculptra Aesthetic. Dr. Rachael Delahoussaye-Shields is a native of New Orleans. She is a graduate of St. Dominic School in Lakeview and St. Scholastica Academy in Covington. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama where she was also an NCAA Scholastic All-American gymnast. She graduated from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, and also completed her residency in dermatology at LSU. After her residency, she practiced dermatology in Wisconsin. Dr. Delahoussaye-Shields is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) and is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS).
Dr. Delahoussaye-Shields passions include health, fitness, and of course skincare. She is married and has five children, two girls, and three boys. She is an exceptional baker. Her cakes and creations are truly a work of art!
Alison has been a certified medical assistant for over 10 years, nine of which has been in dermatology. She has trained under Dr. Elizabeth Grieshaber, gaining experience in both the medical and aesthetic sides of dermatology. Alison is certified in treatments such as IPL and Excel V laser treatments, as well as microneedling and dermaplaning. She enjoys learning all that dermatology has to offer and continues to advance her knowledge through various training opportunities. Dr. Soine graduated Summa Cum Laude from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in biological science. He continued on at LSU, earning his medical doctorate, then completing his residency in both dermatology and internal medicine.
Raised in Mandeville, Dr. Soine has deep roots in Louisiana and has always had a passion for leadership and giving back. He has volunteered in Sierra Leone, Africa, helping assess the state of health care; he has traveled on both medical and dental missions to Granada, Nicaragua, through the Archdiocese of New Orleans; and he helped run a temporary hospital following Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Soine feels equally as passionate about educating his patients as well as upcoming medical professionals. Dr. Soine taught medical students basic examination skills and led discussions with 1st-year medical students on topics such as medical ethics.
He is an assistant professor in the department of dermatology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and serves as part-time LSU faculty at the Department of Veteran Affairs in New Orleans.

She completed her internship year in internal medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans and her residency in dermatology and dermatologic surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, South Carolina, where she served as Chief Resident.
During her residency, she founded an educational sun safety program with her coresident (which was geared at teaching age-appropriate curriculums to K-12 students), consistently volunteered her time at an underserved community clinic, was selected by a boards preparation course to write test questions, and was recognized as a National Derm Rising Star. Dr. Karlin is board certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology and has written multiple research articles that have been published in well-known dermatologic journals.
Dr. Karlin grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, and, along with another medical student, founded and led the New Orleans Women and Children’s Shelter Medical Outreach Program during her medical school years. Both received the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship for their work.
