He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Florida State University before moving back home to complete his Master's degree in Medical Sciences at the University of South Florida. Dr. Brazen went on to complete medical school at Nova Southeastern University, and subsequently stayed in Southeast Florida to complete his three-year Dermatology Residency at Broward Health Medical Center.
There he received extensive training in general and complex medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery, injectable fillers, lasers, and Botox. During his residency, Dr. Brazen was elected to serve as Academic chief resident, an honor awarded to the top residents in their class. During his residency, Dr. Brazen published papers in many academic journals and was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Florida Academy of Dermatology. Additionally, he serves as a delegate for the Florida Medical Association. Outside of the office, Dr. Brazen is an avid golfer, scuba diver, and fisherman.
