Tejas Desai, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon at Heights Dermatology. From the offices in Houston, Rosenberg, Lake Jackson, Portland, Corpus Christi, Palacios, Columbus, Gonzales, Dallas, Mansfield, Beaumont, Bay City, New Braunfels, Tomball, Texas City, and San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Desai is committed to making every one of his patients happy.
A native Houstonian, Dr. Desai completed his undergraduate education at the University of Houston, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in only three years. During medical school, he was involved in multiple dermatologic research teams at Columbia Medical School in New York City and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Finally, he completed his dermatology and surgical fellowship in southern California.
Dr. Desai won several awards for his research as a distinguished resident. He also lectured at several dermatologic conferences across the United States and internationally. He is recognized for his strong academic work, placing second in the nation on a dermatologic in-service exam amongst all residents in the country.
Dr. Desai enrolled in a one-year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and facial reconstruction at Loma Linda University in California. He trained with the former Co-Chairman of Dermatology at Harvard University. Dr. Desai served as the Loma Linda Melanoma Tumor Board coordinator from 2007-2008, where difficult-to-treat cases were deferred to him and his colleagues.
An author in his own right, Dr. Desai wrote a plethora of scholarly articles in leading dermatology journals. In addition, he authored three chapters in two major dermatology textbooks. Many of the chapters focus on ethics and legality in the practice of dermatology. It comes as no surprise that he is an expert consultant to review dermatologic malpractice cases in Texas.
An adjunct professor of Western University of Health Sciences located in Pomona, CA, Dr. Desai serves as an integral part of second-year medical students’ curriculum. He continues to mentor students all over the nation. He is currently involved in multiple community outreach programs, where he performs skin exams for different groups of people, from local firefighters and police officers to professional athletes.
He has consulted several Anaheim Angels baseball players during Spring Training while in Southern California and participated in international mission trips to the outskirts of the Amazon rain forest located near Quito, Ecuador.
Apart from academia, Dr. Desai has been invited as a guest by his good friend and colleague on “Dr. 90210” on E!, discussing and performing laser tattoo removal on camera. His personal hobbies include tennis and traveling.
Dr. Diana Mannschreck, MD, sees patients as a dermatologist five days per week in the Kingwood, Texas, office. She offers general and cosmetic dermatology and enjoys taking care of the entire family.
Dr. Mannschreck grew up in northwest Montana in the foothills of beautiful Glacier National Park. She was a National Merit Scholar and completed a full International Baccalaureate diploma during high school. She attended the University of Washington in Seattle, where she majored in nursing and met her husband, Will, who is from rural Idaho. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was one of only two students to receive the President’s Medal out of a graduating class of almost 8,000.
After practicing nursing in the newborn nursery and neonatal intensive care unit for two years in the Seattle area, Dr. Mannschreck completed her premedical studies, first at the University of Washington and then at Duke University. She received her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she was co-chair of her college and authored numerous research studies on infantile hemangiomas under the mentorship of world-renowned pediatric dermatologist Dr. Bernard Cohen. With a special interest in pediatric dermatology, Dr. Mannschreck completed her intern year in pediatrics at the University of North Carolina. She then completed her dermatology residency at the University of Virginia, where she served on the University Housestaff Council and created and ran the dermatology department’s Instagram account. Dr. Mannschreck also spent a month with her community mentor in cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Bonnie Straka, who taught her advanced injection techniques with Bellafill, Radiesse, Kybella, and Sculptra as well as cosmetic procedures including Morpheus8, truSculpt, Ultherapy, CoolSculpting, EmSculpt, Instalift, Miradry, Fraxel, Clear + Brilliant, and PRP.
Dr. Mannschreck is excited to relocate to the Kingwood, Texas, area. She is an avid country music fan and enjoys hiking, skiing, weightlifting, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her husband, parents, and three younger sisters.
