Dr. Chinyere Agu is a board-certified Endocrinologist and an affiliate with State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Agu’s area of expertise is general endocrinology which includes, but is not limited to, the treatment of diabetes, obesity, thyroid, adrenal & pituitary gland disorders as well as lipid, hormonal and bone disorders. She completed her fellowship in Endocrinology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
Dr. Agu is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She received her medical degree from University of Nigeria College of Medicine and completed a 3-year residency program in Internal Medicine at Harlem Medical Center in Affiliation with Columbia University. She is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists as well as Endocrine Society.

Anastasios Manessis, MD, FACE, ECNU, ABOM, is a double-board certified physician at Endocrine Associates of West Village PC in Murray Hill, Manhattan, and Long Island City, New York, specializing in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism and obesity medicine. Dr. Manessis has an endocrine certification in neck ultrasounds and has extensive experience in diagnosing, treating, and managing endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, hormonal dysfunction, and obesity.
Dr. Manessis pursued his undergraduate education at Manhattan College, graduating magna cum laude with distinction in biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Manessis completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at New York Medical College at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in New York. Following a year as chief medical resident, he completed a two-year clinical fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, where his research interest, among others, involved the use of insulin pumps in patients with Type II diabetes.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Manessis was a faculty member in the Department of Medicine at New York Medical College from 2008-2010. He then joined the faculty of New York University in 2011. He has been involved in many clinical research projects, including long-term studies to evaluate the efficacy and safety of GLP-I agonists and weight loss agents. Dr. Manessis’ primary clinical interest includes the treatment of diabetic patients with insulin pumps and how it has benefited the well-being of patients long-term.

Dr. Kazeem has served as president of medical staff and chief of endocrinology at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn and on the minority affairs committee of the American Association of Endocrinology. He is a two-time recipient of the quality improvement and health outcomes award granted by the Foundation for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. In addition to his duties at Elk Medical, Dr. Kazeem serves on advisory committees at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center as well as New York–Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn.
