I never thought that I would be getting braces after I retired, but yesterday I received my first trays from Dr Bubernak. Even though I had braces on my teeth when I was young, my teeth have been slowly moving over the years andShow more now they are crowded and a bit crooked in the front. At my regular check up Dr Bubernak asked me if I wanted to correct my teeth and explained that in my case, it would probably take less than a year to straighten my teeth. He explained the process he has been using and I agreed. Yesterday Dr Bubernak gave me my first trays along with a kit and explained how to care for my trays and also my mouth while I am getting my teeth straightened. Because my teeth were so crowded he gently filed some of my teeth being careful not to file through the enamel of any of my teeth. He carefully measured each tooth as he was filing to ensure a perfect “trim”. Then he gave me my kit that included both of the first trays (upper and bottom) and explained how to care for them. He also explained how to care for my mouth; this was the first time I have been given a special vibrator for my teeth. Now my teeth get a five minute work out every day so that the ligaments that hold my teeth are strengthened and adjust to hold my teeth in their new positions. With Dr Bubernak’s care I will have a beautiful smile this time next year!

As a example of Dr. Bubernak's professional and competent service, I'll relate a personal experience from years ago: While playing basketball, I suffered an injury to the mouth and lip areas, and was initially treated by a surgeon at Sentara Hospital Emergency Room. This doctor asked me to identify my dentist, and thereafter the hospital called Dr. Burbernak's office to determine how soon he could see me. Although it was late in the day, definitely around office closing time, Dr. Bubernak advised Sentara to send me over to his office ----- and that he would wait until I arrived. In summary, anyone who asks me if I can recommend a dentist that is professional, competent and reliable, etc., I simply tell them to contact Dr. Burbenak's office. P. Dr Bubernak discovered a growth on my tongue. He recommended I see an oral surgeon. The surgeon removed the growth and the lab determined it was dysplasia. Thankfully it is gone but Dr Bubernak will keep an eye on it. Thanks
