Caroline "Callie" Fernandez, MS, PMHNP-BC, APN, is a Columbia University-trained and board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with extensive experience in medication management and psychotherapy. She currently treats clients at Peak Interactive Wellness in Denver, Colorado. Callie sees all ages.
While Callie cares for clients across the lifespan, she has additional training in treating children and adolescents and integrates developmental strategies into her client work.
Since focusing solely on medication might only address some of a client's goals, Callie strives to understand the whole individual to tailor unique treatment recommendations. Her approach considers a client's nutrition, physical activity, social patterns, and unique features such as one's cultural identity and background; her own experience shapes this as a 2nd generation Cuban-American.
Callie strives to create a space where clients feel welcome and seen. By prioritizing active, neutral, and non-judgmental listening, she works to build an interactive assessment with the client's help. From this, Callie works with clients to develop a collaborative treatment plan that encompasses their needs, goals, and evidence-based practices.
