Rulon Owen, DO, is a board-certified osteopathic family physician and senior medical examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration at Las Vegas Family Medicine, located in the Lone Mountain neighborhood of Las Vegas. The seeds of his future success as a physician were sown early on during his days as a student.

Dr. Owen finished high school a full year ahead of his class and was named to the Who’s Who Among American High School students and the Who’s Who Among Rising Young Americans. He attended Utah State University in Logan, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Dr. Owen received a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his postdoctoral training with a rotating internship at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa.

Despite his rigorous studies, Dr. Owen always found time to participate in numerous student groups, including Sigma Sigma Phi, the osteopathic honor fraternity, the student chapter of the American College of General Practitioners in Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, where he served as president and secretary, the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity and the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society.

Dr. Julie Woodward is a practicing medical provider and serves as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Clinical Officer. She has oversight of the company’s end-to-end operational delivery. In her role, she ensures succinct organization management, performance enhancement, strategic vision, and companywide business growth efforts. Additionally, she is responsible for leading clinical programs and operational processes that drive the highest quality of care. She works to identify and implement best practices to improve quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, team engagement and supports innovative approaches to engage populations. Dr. Woodward is nationally board-certified and holds an MBA with Healthcare Administration emphasis. Additionally, she possesses both a medical doctorate and doctorate in nursing practice degree that emphasizes the integration of evidence-based medicine into clinical practice.

Leo Capobianco, DO, FAAEM is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and medical director at the Doctors Center at Red Rock in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. He consistently ranks as one of Nevada’s favorite physicians, receives awards for his expertise, and his caring staff is well known for their efficiency and welcoming disposition. 

Dr. Capobianco studied at the New York Institute of Technology and the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to his background in emergency medicine, Dr. “C” has been a primary care physician with interests in allergy, dermatology, and aesthetics for the last 19 years. 

He and his team offer full-service primary and urgent care, medical weight loss, skin care, and many sought-after cosmetic procedures. The Doctors Center at Red Rock is the only AAAHC-certified urgent care center in Las Vegas.

Board-certified physician assistant and SDPA diplomate fellow Spencer Meier, MPAS, PA-C, has been practicing dermatology since graduating from Touro University Nevada in Henderson in 2011. Spencer is passionate about helping patients achieve healthier skin and is proud to serve Las Vegas, Nevada, as part of the team at Vivida Dermatology. He believes that having healthier skin increases confidence, self-esteem, and quality of life. 

Spencer has received exceptional training from numerous board-certified dermatologists and Mohs micrographic surgeons in both general surgical dermatology. He prides himself on keeping up with the latest developments in dermatology by attending multiple conferences yearly, which are held by some of the most well-respected dermatologists in the country. 

Spencer has helped conduct clinical trials for acne and is also a speaker on behalf of Aqua Pharmaceuticals. He is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and is fluent in Spanish.

Joanne Wennstrom, APRN, CPNP-PC/AC, is a dedicated and highly experienced pediatric nurse practitioner, providing both acute and primary care to infants, children, and adolescents at Nevada Pediatric Specialists in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. With a deep passion for pediatric medicine and a commitment to compassionate, high-quality care, Joanne is devoted to supporting children and their families through every stage of development.

Originally from Upstate New York, Joanne brings over 30 years of pediatric experience across inpatient, outpatient, and specialized care settings, including school health. Her extensive background includes 27 years as a registered nurse in the Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Children’s Hospital of Albany Medical Center, where she provided comprehensive, family-centered care to critically ill infants—from extremely premature newborns to one year of age.

Joanne earned her Master of Science in Child Health Nursing from Stony Brook University in Long Island, NY, obtaining her Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification in 2017. She later expanded her expertise with a Post-Master’s Certificate in Pediatric Acute Care and earned her Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification.

Beyond clinical practice, Joanne is passionate about advocacy and advancing pediatric healthcare. She played a key role in establishing Cleft-Craniofacial Clinics and assisting hospitals in obtaining national certification for specialized teams in New York and Nebraska. Additionally, she directed the Helmet Clinic in Omaha, NE, providing critical care for infants with positional cranial deformities.

Joanne believes in building meaningful relationships and providing high-quality, evidence-based whole health Pediatric Primary care with Team collaboration beginning with the needs of each individual patient and family.

Outside of work, Joanne enjoys spending time with family and friends, swimming, taking long walks, and reading—all alongside her beloved dog, Angel. 

 

Naz Wahab, MD, is a board-certified family practitioner and wound care specialist, serving patients in the Las Vegas, Nevada community at Wound Care Experts. 

In 2000, she graduated from the American University of the Caribbean School Of Medicine in Pembroke Pines, Florida. She completed her internship and residency at Ascension Providence Hospital, Southfield Campus. She is a fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association and has been practicing wound care and hyperbaric medicine for more than 10 years in the Las Vegas Valley. 

Dr. Wahab serves as the medical director for the Mountain View Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center in Las Vegas and the medical director of inpatient wound care for Dignity Health hospitals. She is an active member of many wound care and hyperbaric organizations, including the American Professional Wound Care Association, Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, European Wound Management Association, and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. Currently, she is an active committee member on the Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders and participates in multiple educational committees for wound healing.

Dr. Wahab is passionate about research. She is the lead clinical researcher and developer for international biotech companies. She is also currently a director of clinical research and an adjunct faculty member at the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Touro University Nevada in Henderson, Nevada, and develops wound care programs for continuing education for physicians and other allied health professionals.
