Dr. Chavez graduated from the Universidad de San Martin de Porres in Lima, Peru, in 2001. He completed his family practice residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston from 2004-2007, where he served as Chief Resident.
He is a member of the Texas Medical Association (TMA), the American Academy of Family Practice (AAFP), and the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM). This model also allows Dr. Chavez to have greater patient interaction and increase his availability to his patients. He is able to focus more on the prevention of disease by designing a comprehensive wellness program while empowering the patient to take charge of their health.
In his free time, Dr. Chavez enjoys deep sea fishing, tennis, golf, and spending time with his wife and his three children.
