Meet Dr. Firshein

 Dr. Richard Firshein, is board-certified in family medicine, and the leading authority in the fields of Integrative, Anti-Aging, and Precision- Based Medicine. He embarked on his journey as a physician over 25 years ago and founded the Firshein Center for Integrative Medicine on Park Avenue in New York City.

Dr. Chika Kuwama is an experienced family medicine specialist with over 20 years of practice in New Jersey. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care tailored to the unique needs of individuals and families.

Dr. Kuwama earned her medical degree and completed her internal medicine training at the University of Tokyo School of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency program at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City. Priscilla Borkor, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of experience in psychotherapy, psychiatric social work, wellness advisory, and clinical supervision. Her work spans hospital, emergency department, inpatient psychiatry, outpatient care, care management, and community mental health settings, where she has provided trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and patient-centered care to individuals with complex mental health, medical, and psychosocial needs.

Priscilla is passionate about helping individuals, families, schools, and organizations cultivate emotional safety, heal from trauma, and build lasting resilience. She brings clinical expertise, practical insight, and deep compassion to every space she enters, translating evidence-based care into meaningful, real-world impact. At the heart of her work is a simple but powerful belief: becoming who you needed when you were younger is becoming your own safe person. Priscilla holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from CUNY and NYU. Her training across public and private systems has shaped her holistic approach to mental health care. Jana Luttrell, LCSW-R, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience in clinical leadership, supervision, program development, and direct practice across community mental health, crisis services, and family systems in New York and beyond.

She currently serves as a Clinical Supervisor at La Sante Health Center/Behavioral Health, where she provides clinical oversight, supports staff development, and helps ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care for clients.

Jana brings a strong background in working with diverse populations across settings including mobile crisis, assertive community treatment, vocational services, and private practice. Her work has consistently focused on trauma-informed, strengths-based care and strengthening systems that support individuals and families navigating complex psychosocial and structural challenges.

She is fluent in Spanish and is the daughter of an immigrant, experiences that deeply inform her commitment to culturally responsive practice and advocacy for immigrant and underserved communities. Jana is dedicated to advancing equitable access to mental health care through compassionate clinical leadership, collaboration, and program innovation.

Miriam earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. She has experiencing working with individuals receiving addiction and mental health treatment, as well as with cancer patients, bringing a diverse clinical perspective to her work. Miriam also holds a Child Welfare Certification, further strengthening her commitment to serving vulnerable populations.

Before transitioning her primary focus to clinical operations and program development, Miriam maintained an active clinical caseload, providing direct therapeutic services to individuals with a wide range of behavioral health needs. She currently serves as the Clinical Program Development Specialist at LaSante Health Center, where she is dedicated to advancing high-quality behavioral healthcare through excellence in clinical documentation, regulatory compliance, and efficient clinical operations. Her experience includes maintaining accurate and compliant clinical records, ensuring adherence to OMH requirements, supporting quality improvement initiatives, coordinating clinical workflows, and promoting documentation standards that strengthen continuity of care and regulatory readiness. Miriam is committed to creating organized, efficient systems that empower clinicians to deliver compassionate, high-quality care while supporting organizational excellence.

I enjoy working with adults, teens, families, and groups. I approach clients from a psychodynamic perspective influenced by existential psychotherapy and family systems. I have a foundational training in DBT and, depending on the client’s needs, will teach concrete skills to strengthen emotion regulation, decrease anxious and depressive symptoms, increase resilience and distress tolerance, improve communication, and strengthen boundaries in relationships.

My style is collaborative and dynamic; I enjoy working together to understand what clients want from therapy, and how best to achieve their goals. I listen to/ observe carefully what is communicated during session, and I ask a lot of questions to encourage exploration and self-reflection. I balance concepts of self- acceptance and change, and aim to instill the belief that real change is possible and within the client's power.

I admire the courage it takes to come to therapy and consider it an honor to work with clients in their most vulnerable areas. I create a warm, collaborative, responsive, and safe environment in which clients can express whatever they want without fear of judgement.

Gritz Pierre, MD, is the founder, owner, and medical director of Genesis Personal Healthcare Medicine.
He is a board-certified physician with dual certification in Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine and holds an MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. His background combines extensive frontline clinical experience with formal training in healthcare management, supporting both the clinical and operational requirements of the Company.

Dr. Pierre maintains active medical licenses across multiple U.S. states, enabling nationwide telemedicine practice and supporting the Company’s multi-state service delivery model. His clinical experience spans high-acuity emergency departments, critical access hospitals, ICU-capable facilities, and inpatient hospital medicine settings. In addition, he has extensive outpatient experience working in rural clinics throughout Southern Illinois, providing primary and urgent care services in medically underserved communities.

His professional experience includes independent emergency medicine practice, nocturnist hospital medicine, and ICU-level patient management. Dr. Pierre has served in environments requiring autonomous decision-making, rapid clinical assessment, and coordination of complex care, including stabilization of critically ill patients prior to ICU admission or interfacility transfer.

He has also participated in healthcare fairs and community outreach events, providing physical examinations and preventive care services for local schools and community members.

In addition to his clinical background, Dr. Pierre’s MBA training provides experience in healthcare administration, operations, and financial oversight.
