Dr. Jackson is a native of Philadelphia and graduated cum laude from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. She received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC, and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Jackson served her residency in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York and completed her gastroenterology fellowship at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Her additional postgraduate training included a hepatology research program at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland.
She is affiliated with the American Gastroenterology Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and National Medical Association. Dr. Jackson is board certified in gastroenterology and a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG). She has published several papers regarding digestive care and has appeared on local television and radio as a digestive health expert.
Dr. Jackson has special interests in colon cancer awareness, nutrition, and liver disease. She is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

He has a particular interest in the prevention of esophageal and colon cancers and the management of inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Jencks completed medical school at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then completed his internship and residency at Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto, California. Dr. Jencks then returned to The George Washington University to complete his fellowship training.
