Dr. Yu earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Southern California (USC), Keck School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at USC as well as his fellowship in gastroenterology/hepatology and liver diseases. Dr. Yu specializes in medical disorders of the digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and hemorrhoids. Dr. Oman attended medical school at the University of Utah. He completed his residency at the University of Colorado and completed his fellowship in  Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) at Loma Linda University. When Dr. Oman entered medical school, many of his classmates knew the specialty they wanted to work in. However, he had an open mind and was excited to be exposed to the various specialties of medicine. When the time came to decide, he had noticed that he was most interested and happy when encountering patients with gastroenterology and hepatology health issues. While he is fascinated with the pathophysiology and medical side of this specialty, it was the technical, hands-on, endoscopic aspect that solidified his decision. 

He was amazed as a medical student the first time he saw a bleeding gastric ulcer treated endoscopically. While training in fellowship, he could see how endoscopy is much more and can relieve a variety of issues and symptoms for patients, from removing a gallstone lodged in the bile duct, opening a stricture in the esophagus so a patient can swallow again or draining a cyst through endoscopic ultrasound.

Dr. Oman has interests in colorectal cancer prevention and diagnosis, stomach and esophageal disorders, small bowel disorders, as well as pancreas and biliary disorders, which include advanced pancreatic and biliary diagnosis and intervention (ERCP, EUS).

Dr. Javadi was born in Iran and grew up in Houston, Texas.  She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin and went on to obtain her Master's from Texas State University.  She received her medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine and completed her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical Center in New York.  

She moved back to Houston to complete her Fellowship in Hepatology at The University of Texas Medical School in Houston, where she stayed on as an Attending Physician. 

After moving to Los Angeles in 2006, Dr. Javadi worked as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC).  She subsequently accepted an Assistant Professorship at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine to care for patients with Liver disease, and continued to train Residents and Fellows.  

Dr. Javadi eventually moved back to the Los Angeles area and joined ProDigest Gastroenterology & Hepatology Associates, to continue caring for patients with liver disease.  She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
