Dr. Afsane Haddad has been practicing cardiology in Northern Virginia and serving the Washington DC Metropolitan Area for over 25 years. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. She finished medical school, residency, and Cardiovascular Fellowship at Georgetown University. She currently holds a certificate from the American Board of Cardiovascular Disease. McLean Cardiology has a highly professional and trained staff who will assist you in every way, from handling paperwork and insurance-related issues to prepping you for visits. Prashanth Rao, MD, FACC, is a cardiologist board-certified in internal medicine. He diagnoses and treats various conditions at Capitol Cardiology Associates in Camp Springs, Lanham, and Laurel, Maryland.
Dr. Rao grew up in Potomac, Maryland, a suburb of Washington D.C. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. After graduating, he obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Rao completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. He then furthered his training with a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, focusing on echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular imaging.
When he's not working, Dr. Rao enjoys spending his free time reading, hiking, catching up on politics, and being with family and friends.

Dawn Christopher, MD, is a double board-certified cardiovascular specialist and internal medicine specialist at Capitol Cardiology Associates. From three offices in Camp Springs, Lanham, and Laurel, Maryland, Dr. Christopher provides all her patients with expert care.
She completed her medical training at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., in 2006. Next, she fulfilled her internship and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark.
Dr. Christopher went on to complete her fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, in 2013. She has been practicing in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas since 2016 and is a member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC).
Dr. Christopher has a clinical interest in coronary artery disease, women’s cardiac health issues, clinical heart failure, and device therapies for heart failure. She specializes in general cardiology and performs and interprets transesophageal echocardiography, cardioversions, stress testing, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.
She has privileges at the Luminis Health Doctors Community Hospital and the University of Maryland Capital Region Hospital Center (UMCRH).
Besides caring for her patients, Dr. Christopher enjoys many interests, including spirituality, charity, piano, music, art, swimming, and Peruvian food and culture.

Ndubuisi Okafor, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with over 20 years of experience. At his practice, Okafor Medical Associates, located in Washington, DC, Dr. Okafor offers patients compassionate care for a variety of conditions including chronic disease management, ADHD, and internal medicine concerns as a leading primary care physician.
Dr. Okafor obtained his medical degree from the Howard University Hospital and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also specially trained in Advanced Trauma Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
Dr. Okafor is a registered Civil Surgeon with the United States Center for Immigration Services, so he can provide Immigration Medical examinations with all the required tests in the facility. William Condrell, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Spring Valley Internal Medicine in Washington, DC, and Bethesda, Maryland. He enjoys being a physician and genuinely looks forward to seeing his patients every day.
Dr. Condrell earned his Bachelor of Arts in biology from Pomona College in Claremont, California. After graduating, he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center.
He opened Spring Valley Internal Medicine in 1999. Dr. Condrell specializes in acute and urgent care, adolescent medicine, annual physicals, cardiac evaluations, preventative health, sports injuries, and vaccinations.
Dr. Condrell believes it is most important to get to know his patients and encourages them to ask questions, so he fully understands their needs. He creates a relationship with patients that allows their participation in determining treatment options. His excellence is recognized by many, as he was awarded Top Doctor by Washingtonian Magazine in 2014 and 2017, as well as by Consumer Checkbook.
Dr. Condrell lives in Warrenton, Virginia, with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, playing soccer, cycling, horseback riding, skiing, and doing ceramics. His favorite books include “Love in the Time of Cholera” and “7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” and some of his favorite artists are James Taylor, David Gray, and Natalie Merchant.
