About Ramzan Zakir, MD, RPVI, FACC, FSCAI
Ramzan M. Zakir, MD, RPVI, FACC, FSCAI, is an interventional vascular specialist at Cardiac & Vascular Interventions of New Jersey. He specializes in minimally invasive treatments for patients in New Brunswick, New Jersey, who suffer from vascular disease.
Dr. Zakir is recognized by the International Association of Top Professionals as the Top Interventional Cardiologist of the Year for 2021. He is currently the Director of High-Risk PCI and Research at Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas University Hospital, practices at RWJPE Heart and Vascular Institute of Central Jersey, and is an invited speaker at regional and global conferences.
Since 2009, in his role as an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Zakir has performed thousands of successful angioplasty procedures. He has expanded his practice to peripheral vascular disease and has obtained his RPVI certificate for vascular ultrasound. Dr. Zakir is an affiliate of several organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, a fellow of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention, and a member of the Police Defense Foundation, as well as Health Forces for Police. An illustrious scholar, he is known for his distinguished contributions to prominent medical publications and he has been invited as faculty to numerous international conferences, including TCT, NCVH, and ACC.
