Anita Kamath MD brings significant experience to Rochester Primary Care, serving people
living in and around Rochester Hills, Michigan, and throughout Oakland County.
Dr. Kamath began her educational pursuits at Michigan State University, where she earned
her Bachelor of Science in human biology.
Following graduation, Dr. Kamath enrolled at St. George’s University where she earned her
medical doctorate degree. Before joining the team at Rochester Primary Care, she
completed a residency in internal medicine at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit,
Michigan.
Dr. Kamath is certified in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support. She is
passionate about educating her patients on their chronic medical conditions and
preventative medicine through healthy living.
Dr. Kamath provides comprehensive medical care in hospital settings and on an outpatient
basis at Rochester Primary Care. She is on staff at Corewell Health Troy Beaumont, Trinity
Oakland campus and Ascension Providence Rochester.
When she isn’t enhancing her professional knowledge or developing custom care plans,
Dr. Kamath enjoys traveling, hiking, playing with her new puppy, Sunny, and amateur

Dr. Cherian graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky. He then performed his residency at the University of Louisville Hospital. Later, Dr. Cherian completed fellowships at the University of Utah in heart failure and cardiac transplant and at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in general cardiology.
During his fellowships, Dr. Cherian specialized in heart failure management. After moving to Michigan, he focused his attention on patients struggling with heart failure. Today, Dr. Cherian works with patients to manage complex medication regimens. He also monitors patients' progress and keeps up-to-date on assessments of their heart function.
