Joshua Rotenberg, MD, is a board-certified pediatric neurologist with unique triple subspecialty certification in epilepsy, brain injury and sleep medicine. He provides high-quality, individualized care for infants, children, and adolescents at Houston Specialty Clinic locations in Houston and Sugar Land, Texas. Dr. Rotenberg earned his undergraduate, graduate, and medical degrees at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Rotenberg received the USAF Health Professions Scholarship and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the USAF in 1991. He stayed at Brown to complete dual degrees: Doctor of Medicine and Master of Medical Science - Community Health. Then, Dr. Rotenberg finished an internship in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital an affiliate of New York University. Called to active duty, he served in the United States Air Force for 10 years. Assigned to a aerospace research he served an operational assignment before returning to training. Dr. Rotenberg completed a full 3 year general pediatrics residency at Wright Patterson AFB and Dayton Children’s Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
Serving in the military, Dr Rotenberg was trained to offer advanced diagnostics and treatment typically reserved for advanced fellows. Dr Rotenberg completed a fellowship in child and adolescent neurology at the Uniformed University of the Health Sciences, Walter Reed AMC, Bethesda National Naval Medical Center, and the NIH. Dr Rotenberg completed pediatric rotations at Children's National Medical Center, Johns Hopkins and Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Applying his advanced training in vagal nerve stimulation, ketogenic diet, video eeg, sleep and in chemodenervation, Dr Rotenberg served as the Chief of Pediatric neurology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. Dr. Rotenberg helped to initiate the regional brain cooling program for babies suffering low oxygen at birth.
Triple board-certified, Dr. Rotenberg provides comprehensive neurologic diagnostics and therapeutics. He is an active advocate for children and families with neurologic illness. Dr. Rotenberg opened Academy Diagnostics Sleep & EEG Center with his San Antonio partner in 2007. Dr Rotenberg holds a volunteer appointment assistant clinical professor of pediatric neurology at the University of Texas at Houston. Jennifer E. Martin, CPNP-PC, is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner who provides outstanding services to patients of THINK Neurology for Kids at our Gulf Coast location in Lake Jackson.
Jennifer obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University at College Station in 2005 with a major in English. Following her passion for healthcare, she pursued an undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center where she graduated in 2008.
Her commitment to pediatric care led her back to the same university for nurse practitioner school, where she graduated in 2011 with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
Jennifer has received advanced training in pediatric neurology, including concussion, headache, epilepsy, autism, and developmental disorders.
Prior to joining THINK Neurology, she gained valuable experience in critical care at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, where she met Dr. Varghese and Dr. Marchesano.
Her clinical background also includes roles in the pediatric primary care and pediatric urgent care settings.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find Jennifer spending time with her husband and their children, reading good books, baking chocolate chip cookies, and running with her weimaraner puppy, Pepper.

Dr. Oommen was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech University in 2011. He went on to receive his medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in 2016.
Following graduation, Dr. Oommen completed a two-year residency in pediatrics and a combined three-year residency in adult and child neurology at the University of Texas at Houston in 2021. Upon completion, he pursued two years of fellowship training in epilepsy and surgical epilepsy planning.
Outside of work, Dr. Oommen enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn son, staying active by competing in various sports, and supporting his hometown teams.
