With more than three decades in practice, Mauricio Levine, MD, is among the most experienced women’s health specialists in the greater San Diego area. Education has always been important to Dr. Levine. He began his education at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City, where he graduated at the top of his class. He went on to residency training at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and also served as an attending physician and instructor for Suffolk County Clinics in Long Island, New York.
Dr. Levine entered private practice in 1989. He enjoys building professional relationships with the women in his care and is deeply honored to play a role in their health and wellness. Dr. Li Fan is a board-certified OB-GYN. She offers comprehensive obstetrical and complete gynecological services at Obstetrics & Gynecology Li Fan MD, INC in Poway, California. She has over 17 years of experience in women’s health care and is committed to providing high-quality, personalized care for her patients and helps them to navigate significant milestones.
In 1989, Dr. Fan received her MD from Southeast University Medical College, Nanjing, P.R. China with honors and in 2004, she did her residency at University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship from Cornell University Medical College, New York City, and she also has a Ph.D. in Physiology from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
She spent one year as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago after her residency, before entering into private practice at West Suburban Ob/Gyn Ltd, Lombard, Illinois, in 2006, where she worked for close to nine years. In 2015, Dr. Fan started her current practice in Poway, California.
Dr. Fan’s clinical expertise includes managing low-risk pregnancies, adolescent and menopausal gynecological problems, and abnormal uterine bleeding. She's also skilled in all minimally invasive gynecological and urogynecological surgeries along with hysteroscopies, colposcopies, and endometrial ablations.
She has been recognized for her services by Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Chicago and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.
She is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and medical Spanish, which makes her popular among patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
