Amy Serrano is a certified Physician Assistant who was born and raised in Trumbull. She attended Loyola University Maryland for her undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Amy attended Pace University in New York City and received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. After graduating, she began her career as a PA in OB/GYN at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She gained experience in working with both obstetric patients on Labor and Delivery, as well as caring for patients admitted to the GYN service and first assisting in the operating room for gynecologic procedures.
Amy moved back to Connecticut with her family and continues to practice her love of women’s health with the Avery Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology. She enjoys taking care of patients of all ages.
Caitlin Myers has been an OB/GYN PA since 2013 when she graduated from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She has 9 years of inpatient OB/GYN experience in the NYC hospital system. Caitlin is a lifelong Norwalk resident and is excited to be back practicing in the community she lives in. She offers a full range of OB/GYN services, with a special interest in high-risk pregnancies and adolescents.
In her free time, Caitlin enjoys spending time outdoors with her two children, traveling, and trying out the newest restaurants in town.
Perla Tate, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at Vantage Medical Associates, P.C., which has locations in the Bergen Beach, Coney Island, Williamsburg, and Sheepshead Bay neighborhoods in Brooklyn, the Far Rockaway neighborhood in Queens, and Brentwood and Babylon, New York. She specializes in women’s health care, including infertility, ultrasound, colposcopy, and laser surgery.
Dr. Tate completed the pre-medical program at Queens College, City University of New York, in Queens, New York. She attended Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Guadalajara, Mexico, for her medical degree.
After graduating, Dr. Tate returned to New York and did her internship at Maimonides Community Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Brooklyn Jewish Medical Center and the Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn.
Dr. Tate has more than 35 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology. She has held a range of professional positions, including emergency room physician, attending consultant, OB/GYN instructor, clinic coordinator, and medical director.
At Vantage Medical Associates, P.C., Dr. Tate strives to make quality women’s health care accessible. She takes a patient-first approach, spending time understanding all patients’ unique needs. Only then will she recommend a course of treatment to help them enjoy their best possible health.
Along with her work at Vantage Medical Associates, P.C., Dr. Tate is on the faculty at Mount Sinai South Nassau Community Hospital in Oceanside and Family Health Care in Freeport, both in New York.
