Dr. Firestone limits his practice to gynecology and women's health. He has been in private practice since 1987 and is a member of the clinical faculty of Florida Atlantic University, Nova Southeastern University, and Barry University. Dr. Firestone is a NAMS Menopause Practitioner and has served as the principal investigator for numerous clinical research trials and lectured nationally on a variety of women's health issues including contraception, hormone therapy, and menopause.

Douglas Smith, DO, of Gemini OBGYN in Pembroke Pines, FL, grew up in Philadelphia and practiced there for 6 years. He and Dr. Goldberg shared residencies at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, after they both attended Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 2003, Dr. Smith moved to Weston and partnered with Dr. Goldberg in their medical practice. The 2 share a commitment to a “patients first” philosophy of health care.

Dr. Smith is currently the Chief of Staff at Memorial Hospital West. Previously he served as Department of OB/GYN Chief and Secretary/Treasurer of the hospital.

Dr. Silfen completed his undergraduate education at Baylor University and received his Medical Degree from the University of South Alabama. He completed his residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital/Case Western Reserve University where he received specialized training in his areas of expertise. 

Dr. Silfen is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is currently on staff at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, West Boca Medical Center, and the Boca Raton Outpatient Surgery and Laser Center. Dr. Smith-Thomas graduated from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, with honors in Biochemistry and Zoology. She then went on to pursue her medical degree at the Mona Campus of the university, where she graduated at the top of the class, with honors. She trained in family medicine for two years at Louisiana State University in Monroe County, before being accepted into the residency program at Rochester General Hospital in New York, where she was able to pursue her true passion in life: obstetrics and gynecology. During her residency, she received multiple resident awards including the Berlex teaching award and the Dr. James Craig Potters award for the resident who is industrious, hardworking, honest, kind, skilled, and learns from each patient.  

Prior to moving to South Florida, she practiced for five years in Gallup, New Mexico, where she gained vast clinical experience in diabetes and hypertension. She has been practicing in the Boca Raton and Boynton Beach areas for the past 10 years. Dr. Smith-Thomas has a special interest in general obstetrics, office-based minimally invasive gynecology procedures, and general gynecology—including gynecological surgery, adolescent gynecology, incontinence, and prolapse.
