He and Dr. Goldberg shared residencies at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, after they both attended Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 2003, Dr. Smith moved to Weston and partnered with Dr. Goldberg in their medical practice. The 2 share a commitment to a “patients first” philosophy of health care.

Suzette Rodriguez, MD, of Gemini OBGYN in Pembroke Pines and Weston, Florida, joined Dr. Smith and Dr. Goldberg in 2000. Dr. Rodriguez attended Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, and Tufts University School of Medicine in Medford, Massachusetts, before completing her residency at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. Board certified since 2001, Dr. Rodriguez is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has held a number of medical staff positions and is fluent in Spanish as well as English.

Dr. González earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from the University of Miami and obtained her Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine. She then completed her OB/GYN residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where she received the Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Best Teaching Resident award.

Jane Matos-Fraebel, MD, FACOG, is an OB/GYN practicing at A New Life OB/GYN of Broward, located in Plantation, Florida. By the time she was in fourth grade, Dr. Matos-Fraebel knew she wanted to be a doctor. She worked with her mother (also a physician) beginning at the age of 13, which eventually led to her entering medical school at Santiago University of Technology, one of the highest-ranking schools in the Dominican Republic. After graduating in 1987, Dr. Matos-Fraebel then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami. Dr. Matos-Fraebel believes in combining advanced state-of-the-art technology with compassion. Randye Karmin, MD, is a gynecologist at South Florida Gynecology & Women's Health treating patients in the Dadeland area of Miami, Florida. The office is located at Town Center One at Dadeland where Dr. Karmin offers personalized care to women of all ages in a private and relaxed atmosphere. She is an expert in NovaSure® endometrial ablation for heavy periods, which can be performed in the office. She is also an expert in diagnosis and management of abnormal bleeding including in-office removal of uterine fibroids using hysteroscopy. She performs several other in-office procedures including colposcopy, and LEEP, as well as transvaginal ultrasounds which are performed at the time of the visit allowing patients to receive an accurate diagnosis and a treatment plan often all on the same day.
