She interned in general surgery at Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Petruzzelli has worked as an OB/GYN for over 20 years, most recently at the Center for Women's Health and Midwifery in New Haven, Connecticut, as a hospitalist.
