Dr. Brett M. Weinstock is a Wills Eye Hospital associated physician who provides comprehensive eye care including management of cataract, glaucoma, and laser vision correction. He received his Bachelors in Science in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a research honors thesis. While in medical school at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, Dr. Weinstock graduated with honors, distinction in research, and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. He went on to complete his residency at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital, training on the most advanced technologies available for eye surgery.
Dr. Weinstock’s areas of expertise include management of complex cataracts, including use of advanced technology lenses, laser assisted cataract surgery, and correction of astigmatism using the ORA system. He also performs glaucoma procedures, functional eyelid surgery, femtosecond LASIK eye surgery, and PRK laser vision correction.
Dr. Weinstock now is involved as a clinical instructor in the training of future residents at Wills Eye Hospital and medical students at Jefferson University. He is a member of the Cataract and Primary Eye Care Service, and covers emergency surgeries for the Wills Eye Emergency Room. He is also affiliated with Gloucester County Surgical Center in Mullica Hill and is a national member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Howard Friedberg is one of the experienced physicians currently treating patients at Friedberg Eye Associates in Woodbury, New Jersey. Dr. Friedberg graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He continued at Emory for his internship as well as three years of ophthalmology residency. He served as Chief Resident his final year. Following residency, he completed a year of fellowship in phacoemulsification and anterior segment surgery at Wills Eye Hospital.
Dr. Friedberg’s areas of expertise include cataract surgery, including complicated, high-risk procedures, glaucoma treatment, and general ophthalmology. He has performed tens of thousands of procedures. He is affiliated with Gloucester County Surgical Center in Mullica Hill and well as Select Surgical Center in Washington Township. He is Chief of Ophthalmology at Inspira Health Center, Woodbury, NJ.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and on the Board of Governors of the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology. He has published numerous articles and recently was named Top Ophthalmologist in Gloucester County by the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce and the South Jersey Times.
Dr. Andrea H. Friedberg is a key member of the team at Friedberg Eye Associates. She is currently treating patients in Woodbury, New Jersey, and surrounding cities.
Dr. Friedberg earned her Doctorate of Medicine with high honors and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society from Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Friedberg then completed a medical/surgical internship in the Emory University System obtaining a comprehensive knowledge and experience treating children and adults in private hospitals, trauma hospitals, and VA hospitals. Dr. Friedberg completed her ophthalmology residency at the world-renowned University of Pennsylvania Scheie Eye Institute, including training at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital.
Dr. Friedberg constantly works to stay up-to-date on all of the new techniques and treatments in ophthalmology/optometry. Throughout her career, she has taken many courses to supplement her knowledge and experience. She has received many Top Doc awards, and has been involved in resident and medical student education. Dr. Friedberg has extensive experience in dry eye treatments, eye and facial rejuvenation, eyelid surgery including small lesion removals, nutritional support, cataract diagnosis and surgery, glaucoma diagnosis and surgery including the IStent and many types of laser treatments.
